NFL fans can start preparing for one of the league's marquee events again. For the third year in a row, the Pro Bowl is coming to Orlando, with a week-long schedule of activities planned around the game on January 27.

This was the third option year that the league had with the city. Camping World Stadium has proven to be a great host so far, with 60,834 fans attending the game in 2017 and 51,019 fans passing through the turnstiles in 2018.

As always, the game will be televised on ESPN, providing great exposure for Orlando and the city's status as a tourist mecca. Despite many around the country leveling a variety of criticisms at the Pro Bowl, it regularly does well on TV and 8.6 million people watched the game last year.

Pro Bowl Picks Orlando As Host City For The Third Year In A Row

In addition to the positive pub Orlando receives, the Pro Bowl attracts fans from all over the country to the region. Since the area is already well-equipped to handle an influx of visitors, this is a win-win for the city and the NFL.

The week leading up to the Pro Bowl is also littered with events held throughout Orlando and at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex complex. This allows many that would never get the opportunity to interact with sports stars the chance to meet some of football's current and former greats.

The NFL has also made it their initiative to positively impact the communities they enter during Pro Bowl week. They have players visit local hospitals, build community gardens and hold tree-planting ceremonies.

The Pro Bowl will likely move around starting in January and will potentially head to new stadiums opening up in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Even though this 2019 game is likely the last time in the immediate future that Orlando will serve as host, the city has acquitted itself well and put itself in the position to host the Pro Bowl or other NFL events again.
