There's no better Sportstown in America right now than Orlando, Florida!

Welcome to the Orlando Sports Weekly Rundown, I'm David Baumann.

Right now, the University of Central Florida Knights football team is a perfect 7-0 for the first time in school history...

And the Orlando Magic are 4-1, with the #1 record in the Eastern Conference.

Let's enjoy every second while it lasts!

The Knights are fresh off a record for points scored in a single game after their 73-33 win over Austin Peay on Saturday.

Orlando Sports Teams Show Promise In The Start Of The Season

UCF now has wins over Maryland, Memphis, Cincinnati, East Carolina, Navy and Austin Peay.

They've got remaining games at SMU Nov. 4, home against UConn Nov. 11, at Temple Nov. 18, and then back home for a BIG showdown against rival USF on the day after Thanksgiving, Nov. 24. USF just lost their first game of the year against Houston this past weekend, so the Bulls will be out for blood.

But if UCF can finish out the season unscathed, they'll be looking at a New Year's Bowl.

And if you're a Knights fan, keep praying that head coach Scott Frost doesn't leave after this season.

He's making $2M right now as the highest paid coach in the American Athletic Conference... But it's going to take a LOT of money to keep him around because programs will undoubtedly be offering him multi-millions.

If he stays, there's no reason this level of performance and excitement shouldn't continue.

Here's a highlight breakdown of the Knights win this past weekend:

As for the Orlando Magic...

What an incredible start to a season!

The Magic already have wins over the Heat, Cavs, Nets, and Spurs. And they have the top record in the East.

With a new front office set in place and a few new players on the roster, this team is off and running.

Literally.

The Magic are averaging 118 points per game (second in NBA) and are winning games by an average of 10.8 points (third in NBA).

They are the second-best team in terms of offensive efficiency and are the league's leading three-point shooting team at 45.7%.

Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic are posting All-Star caliber statistics...

Gordon is averaging 23.7 PPG, 9.7 REB and is shooting a blistering 72.7% from 3's.

"Vuc" is averaging 22 PPG and 8.6 REB while shooting 61% from the field.

And Jonathon Simmons might just be the NBA's best bank-for-your-buck offseason signing.

Simmons just scored 17 points in a rout of his old San Antonio Spurs team. Have a look at this highlight reel from it:

He's now averaging 14 PPG, a 118% outperformance over his career 6.4 PPG mark.

I don't know how long this is going to last, but again, let's enjoy it while we can.
