How do pirates prefer to communicate? Aye-to-aye matey. And starting September 14, the Orlando Science Center is inviting all the Orlando locals and Tampa Bay Buccaneers to grab their boots, buckles, and beards and head in for some aye-to-aye fun at Pirate Week

The new and improved KidsTown will play host to everything from the pirate-approved crafts, games, and programs to swashbuckling story times throughout the week. Plus, on Saturday, September 16, enjoy even more fun for all ages, such as pirate performers and live shows. 

Participate In Pirate Week At The Orlando Science Center In Orlando 

Also on Saturday, catch a live on-stage combat show. Or if you’re in the mood for some light-hearted silliness, catch a comedy show that’s bound to make ye “yo ho ho.” Plus, spot the mermaid meet-and-greet and grab a photo while you’re there. All landlubbers and Buccaneers alike are invited to spend the day at the Orlando Science Center during Pirate Week | Orlando Science Center, even the adult pirates. 

Don’t forget to wear your best pirate costume for this family-friendly event in Orlando. You’ll also be able to add some flair to your costume with a chance to make some accessories while visiting KidsTown.

Pirate Week runs from Thursday, September 14 to Sunday, September 17, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and activities are included with general admission to Orlando Science Center, which is free if you're an OSC member. Discounts are available for groups of 15 or more. Parking is available in the garage, but limited, and costs $5 for non-OSC members.
