The original 4 Rivers Smokehouse, the beloved and often-crowded Orlando barbecue joint, is packing up and moving its savory, slow-smoked fare to a new, larger location right down the street in Winter Park.

4 Rivers Smokehouse will move from its original 1,350-square-foot location at 2103 W. Fairbanks Ave. down the street to a brand-new, nearly 7,000-square-foot location at 1600 W. Fairbanks Ave. by the end of the month.  According to the restaurant's Facebook page, the original 4 Rivers Smokehouse will close its doors at the end of regular business hours on Saturday, July 28 and reopen in its new location on Monday, July 30.

With more than quadruple the amount of space in their new location, we've got to wonder just how ambitious 4 Rivers plans are for the future.  Judging by the frequent and long lines outside the door of their original location, it does seem fairly justified.  Add to the fact that they're consistently rated as the best barbecue restaurant in Orlando and a move like this doesn't seem too entirely crazy.

4 Rivers Smokehouse is loved far and wide for its down home assortment of slow-smoked barbecue including their legendary brisket, pulled pork, and chicken in their famous dishes like the Texas Destroyer (brisket, onion rings, provolone, jalapenos) and Smokehouse Sliders with brisket, pulled-pork, and chicken.

Be sure to check out the brand new 4 Rivers Smokehouse location when it opens on Monday, July 30 and don't forget to give it your own rating and review on the 4 Rivers Smokehouse 407area business listing.
