Digital Orlando 2019 is coming next month and it will shine a special light on The City Beautiful's growing status as a tech and creative hub. Some of the particular technology industries that Orlando has excelled include digital media, entertainment technologies, simulation, software design, and industry education. 

On April 10, leaders from across the region will convene at the Orlando Science Center to discuss the future of Orlando's technology and innovation ecosystem. Orlando's technology sector has over $13 billion in annual economic impact. There have already been over 40 speakers announced, representing a true who's who in Central Florida's tech landscape.  

Digital Orlando 2019 Celebrates Technology And Innovation This Spring

Highlights on the list of those presenting include Fattmerchant Founder and CEO Suneera Madhani. She has built her Downtown Orlando-based subscription payment company into an organization that employs over 100 people. 

John Callahan is another standout speaker who serves as the vice president of technology at Kissimmee's sensor-research operation, Bridg. Central Florida's long-standing influence in the space industry will be highlighted by special guests like Space Florida's Vice President of Government & External Relations, Dale Ketchum, and NASA's Small Business Technology Manager, Michael Vinje. 

The region's rich tech education landscape will also be represented by speakers like Wyncode Academy Co-Founder and CEO Johanna Mikkola, Full Sail University's Emerging Technologies VP Luis Garcia and the President of Florida Polytechnic University, Randy K. Avent. 

Digital Orlando 2019 begins at noon on April 10 and it will feature an afternoon of special keynotes and panels along with a technology expo. The day concludes with a networking reception from 5:30-7 p.m.
