The annual Halloween celebration returns on select nights to Universal Studios in Orlando. Expect tons of haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment, and more.

Halloween Horror Nights 2012 is taking place on select nights between September 21 and October 31 at Universal Studios in Orlando.
The biggest changes at Halloween Horror Nights, now in its 22nd year, will include three brand new haunted houses and a radical change to their traditional scare zones. Instead of set scare zones at various locations around the park, characters will now be able to roam throughout all of Universal Studios.
Guests can expect to see vampires, ghosts, goblins, beasts and a pack of female, chainsaw-carrying prisoners prowling throughout the park. This year, no one is safe when it comes to the thrills of Halloween Horror Nights.
In addition, Universal Studios will host three new haunted houses for Halloween Horror Nights. These include "Gothic", a house where gargoyles come to life; "Dead End", a cursed haunted house; and "House of Horror" featuring a handful of classic Universal horror characters.

Gates will open at 6:30 p.m. each night. General admission tickets to Halloween Horror Nights 2012 are $88.99. Guests can also add Halloween Horror Nights admission to their traditional Universal Studios tickets for $36.99 (Sun.-Thurs.) $51.99 (Fri.), and $66.99 (Sat.). These add-ons don't have to be used on the same day as your daytime park ticket.
