Every season has its gifts to explore. Enjoy a summer walk with us through Leu Gardens and learn how to weave with twigs, sticks, leaves and fallen flowers. Collect what you see and make a nature weaving to adorn your porch or room! Hike and Weave is great for children ages 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the duration of the workshop. Fees provide admission to the gardens, project instruction and all materials needed to complete your piece during the workshop.
Instructor: Victoria Bealke "Macrame Momma"
Victoria Bealke is a 3rd generation, Orlando-born Fiber Artist who works frequently under the name Macrame Momma. With a background in Art and Psychology from University of Central Florida and Valencia Community College, she loves to bring the local community together with textiles. Victoria hosts various make and take fiber art classes and educational events in the Central Florida area, and facilitates educational children's programs at the Orlando Science Center. She also furthers her reach by offering custom, curated DIY kits for all ages online.
