Within the past three years the owner of Southern Nights Orlando, Rick Kowalczyk, has managed to open two other locations in Southern Nights Tampa and Southern Nights Ft. Lauderdale and has officially opened the newest addition to the Southern Nights family, Southern Craft. Located in Downtown Orlando’s, “Milk District,” and on the same block of Southern Nights Orlando, Southern Craft cocktail bar in Orlando has put an interesting twist on what you would expect from other local LGBT bars.

New Bar In Orlando Serves Up Craft Cocktails In The Milk District

When you walk through the doors of Southern Craft, you are surrounded by a warm, inviting, and laid-back environment. What you wouldn’t expect is the amount of effort put into the drinks on their cocktail menu. The name Southern CRAFT really plays a part in their specialty, CRAFT cocktails. So, don’t expect your typical "vodka, soda, splash of cran" served up and ready to go in less than 20 seconds, sort of bar. Strategically, Southern Craft’s soft opening was during the same week as Orlando Pride and ever since their Southern Craft Grand Opening! Complimentary Drinks 5pm-7pm! , this past week, we’ve heard nothing but terrific reviews!

In a recent interview with Hot Spots Magazine, Kowalczyk said, “This concept is something that you don’t really see anywhere else in the surrounding area. You won’t even see our bartenders using concentrated juice from a beverage gun while preparing your drink order,” said Rick. “Everything will be made to order from scratch. If someone orders a strawberry martini, they will see the bartender muddle fresh strawberries into a cocktail shaker alongside the vodka – there are no shortcuts by using a type of flavored vodka. I want each and every customer to enjoy a delicious infused or muddled craft cocktail every time they visit.”

Southern Craft does not cut corners when it comes to a high-quality, tasty drink. On their menu, you can find 57 specialty whiskey drinks and shots. If an array of tequila, whiskey, vodka and other specialty liquors isn’t part of your taste palate and beer is more of your go-to beverage, have no fear! Your favorite regional, craft and local beers are fully stocked. Kowalczyk says, “If you’re looking for a place to grab a Bud Light or Miller Lite, I would suggest going next door to Southern Nights.” I think you get the hint.

Southern Craft Orlando is located at 2405 E South Street and is currently open Wednesday to Saturday from 5PM-2AM. For more information visit them on Facebook and follow them on Instagram at @SouthernCraftBar.
