It's hard not to fall in love with Orlando's newest addition to the Central Florida craft beer community. This may be why the team at RockPit Brewing decided to soft open on Valentine's Day.

The new coal-country themed microbrewery and taproom in Orlando's SoDo District is creating a buzz in The City Beautiful's booming beer scene because unlike many local breweries in Orlando RockPit opened with 14 of their own beers on tap. RockPit Brewing is also unlike many area breweries because they offer food. Through a partnership with their neighbor  Cecil's Texas Style BBQ, you can order off a special taproom food menu and have it hand delivered from next door.

New Brewery In Orlando Spreads The Love With Valentine's Day Soft Opening

Another thing that sets RockPit Brewing apart is the fact that this 5,000 sqft warehouse space also features a fully operational homebrew supply store. The owners of RockPit Brewing in Orlando have a long history of homebrewing and the company plans to host regular homebrew competitions in collaboration with Brewers Anonymous, a local homebrew club. Winners will get to brew a batch of beer on the house pilot system with the intention for it to be poured in the taproom.

RockPit Brewing is the sixth brewery to open in the Orlando area in six months. Just half a decade ago there were only a couple local beer producers in Central Florida and now our community supports dozens, with more working to open. The SoDo area has seen recent growth as well. This Main Street District is located just south of downtown Orlando and in recent weeks has seen the opening of a new Lucky's Market South Downtown and a new Starbucks Coffee.

RockPit Brewing is now open Thursday through Sunday and is planning a grand opening celebration sometime in March.
