If you're a fan of craft beer bars in Orlando or still have some holiday shopping to do (and especially if you're both), we recommend you check out Orlando Brewing's 2nd Annual Holiday Art Market The event works to benefit the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida and will take place on Saturday, December 9th from 6-10PM.

Local Brewery Hosts Christmas Charity Event In Orlando For The Homeless

Orlando Brewing is the is oldest and largest of the Orlando breweries and is located just south of downtown Orlando in an industrial district. The event marks the release of a new taproom art show and the re-release of their Senator Imperial Stout. They will also drop a small batch of a special (to be announced) microbrew. Representatives from the Coalition for the Homeless will be in the house collecting donations. Patrons who donate a needed item or $5 will receive a Happy Hour wristband for $1 off OBC drafts. The company will also host a raffle at 9PM which will include 4 tickets to their sold out December Doughnut & Beer pairing.

This Orlando Christmas market will feature local art and artisan vendors as well as original music from 6-10PM. There will also be live glass blowing by Green Rush Branding. Patrons will be able to purchase premade glass art or request speciality commissioned pieces for loved ones. Speaking of loved ones -- this event is dog and family friendly. There will be a free brewery tour at 6PM (though this part is not dog-friendly), and food available for purchase from Authentic Empanadas.

The Orlando Brewing Art Market is one of many holiday events in Orlando that combines craft beer and a good cause. For example,  Ten 10 Brewing Company will host a Bike Drive & Bottle Share on December 7th and Barley & Vine Biergarten will hold a benefit for the Zebra Coalition on December 16th. There are so many opportunities to celebrate Christmas in Central Florida this year, but we love the idea of spending at least one night with good friends and good beer to support a good cause.
