This time we are heading to Black Bear Wilderness in Sanford! It's a 7 mile loop (but we won't do the entire loop, just go one direction and turn back after a few miles). The path is shaded and relatively secluded! Perfect for a pack hike. I've never seen a black bear here, but we shouldn't encounter one in a group if we are all talking and making noise! They're shy and not aggressive.
We are meeting in the Black Bear Wilderness Trailhead:

Ticks are especially bad this season, so make sure your dog is on a preventative chew or wearing a tick collar.
