Spring is back and you know what that means, Funk Fest also returns to Orlando! Time to get your neo-soul, R & B, old school hip-hop, funk, and step on over to Orlando's favorite annual urban tradition. Not that every year isn't great, but this year, we have some headliners and show stoppers that we having seen in a very long time, like the Queen of soul herself; the Goddess, Medulla Oblongata, the "Bag Lady", Ms. Erykah Badu!
On Friday, get ready to get your poison dance on and rock your 12 inch Bobby Brown button on your sleeve, and Starter jackets as Bell, Biv, Devoe (BBD) and Bobby Brown take the stage. This year's massive line-up will include our 80's and 90's greats like Monica, T.I., Dru Hill, Jagged Edge, Ginuwine, Jeezy the Snowman, and Mr. Stokley of Mint Condition for a full R & B fantasy experience. But please let's not forget that we are not 21 years old anymore. We can still drop it like it's hot to Juvi, but we might night be able to get back up these days! Also, the man who's fresher than the rest and the lyrical best will be waiting to hear you shout "In six minutes, six minutes, six minutes Doug E. Fresh, you're on!".
Funk Fest 2019 will feature 2 full days of the dopest of the dope and sexiest of the sexy artists from some of the most unforgettable R&B performers. Get your car washed, your hair right, and get that perfect throwback outfit and make your way to the Central Florida Fairgrounds this Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th for your dose of throwback jams! Oh, did I mention our very own Central Florida's Plies will be there too? Come on now, you Florida Funk Fest 2019 in Orlando will be highly entertaining!
