A part-time Andretti Line/Prep Cook is responsible for exceeding guest service expectations with the Andretti menu and plate presentation all while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions are responsible for assisting guests in various areas, in many capacities, and following Andretti Indoor Karting and Games high standards of quality Guest satisfaction.

  • Set up, stocks and organizes work station throughout the shift.
  • Practice proper storeroom and inventory control procedures.
  • Follow proper heating and cooling standards.
  • Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner.
  • Resolve problems with wait staff, customer orders, or other food-related issues in the kitchen in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Understand the safety practices and knows correct set up, operation, break down and cleanup of all equipment.
  • Maintain utensils such as knives in safe and appropriate working condition as well as ensure that all utensils are clean before each use.
  • Label, date and properly store prepped and cooked foods.
  • Remain knowledgeable about the restaurant menu and make accommodations on individual orders as requested by guests.
  • Follows proper safety and sanitation guidelines according to local and company health regulations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with Guests and fellow co-workers.
  • Work as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments.
  • Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintain a clean work area in compliance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies and procedures.
  • Knowledgeable of facility emergency procedures.
  • Perform Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.
  • Follow proper uniform guidelines according to Andretti Indoor Karting and Games.
  • Display excellent communication skills.
  • Show eagerness to learn new skills and trades.

1+ years prior cooking experience is preferred. The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an Andretti Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of their job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Performs functions which require organization, bending, reaching, turning, lifting, climbing and stocking up to 50lbs.
  • Walk or stand for long periods of time.
  • Proper usage of all kitchen equipment and utensils.
  • Work days, nights, holidays and weekends.
  • The environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights and loud sounds.
  • Ability to produce station menu items in accordance with Andretti standards and ticket time goals.
  • Maintain safety standards at all times.
  • Exhibits pleasant, upbeat and sociable personality.
  • Shows willingness to learn, retain information and work as a group or alone.
