There's a lot to be proud of if you visit or live in the Orlando area.  From it's unbelievable assortment of the world's best theme parks to its rich history, vibrant culinary landscape, nightlife, sports teams, and much more, Orlando pride definitely runs strong through this premier Central Florida city.

And now, there's one more thing to add to the list.  According to Travel Leaders Group's 2013 Travel Trends Survey, Orlando has beat out Las Vegas as the best vacation destination in the United States.

Orlando joins an assortment of U.S. cities ranked in the top five including Alaska; Maui, Hawaii; and New York City.  Neighboring Florida cities Miami/Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale also join Orlando in the top ranks at 11th and 15th place respectively.

Coordinated by the Travel Leader's Group, the survey was done between November 19 and December 16 using data from 1,000 U.S. travel agencies affiliated with the group.

The survey results also analyzed the data to predict that Caribbean cruises will be a top vacation choice for travelers in 2013.  It also predicts that Europe is becoming increasingly attractive for travelers looking to get away in 2013.
