LEGOLAND Florida has only been open for six short weeks now, but that's not stopping this great family amusement park from expanding already.  Officials have announced plans to open LEGOLAND Water Park next to LEGOLAND Florida in time for the summer of 2012.

This brand new, family friendly water park will feature a Build-a-Raft Lazy River, wave pool, various water slides and a host of other interactive water exhibits.

Kids and parents can design and build a unique LEGO vessel to float down the 1,000 foot long lazy river, relax in the not-too-intense wave pool, or speed down water slides including the Twin Chasers with 375 feet of interweaving subes, the Splash Out with three unique, super-tall slides, and more.

This Water Park alongside the original LEGOLAND Florida theme park will provide more than a full day's worth of fun for families with kids from ages 2 to 12.

If you already own a LEGOLAND premium pass admission to the new water park is free.  The LEGOLAND premium pass offers a full year's worth of admission to LEGOLAND and seasonal access to the water park.

Single day admission passes to LEGOLAND Florida can be upgraded to include water park access for an additional $12 and $3 for children under 3.
