There is nothing better than cooling off on a hot summer day.  This summer, take advantage of local water parks!

Adventure Island - Located across the street from Busch Gardens in Tampa, Adventure Island is a local favorite.  The park features 30 acres of slides, pools, waterfalls, dining and other attractions.  This summer, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from June 14 through August 11, it's Island Nights.  The park will be open until 9pm and feature food from the islands along with live entertainment and more island fun.  When you buy your Busch Gardens Fun Pass (pay for a day, have fun all year), make sure to add the Adventure Island experience for just a little more!

Blizzard Beach - Blizzard Beach is one of 2 water parks located at the Walt Disney World Resort and features one of the world's tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, along with other slides and attractions for the whole family.  The park is made to look like a ski resort with snow slides and even a chair lift.  For the kid's, visit Tike's Peak, a watery play area featuring a snow castle fountain, pop-up water jets and kid-sized slides.

Typhoon Lagoon - The sister water park to Blizzard Beach at the Walt Disney World Resort, Typhoon Lagoon is the most visited water park in the world and rests on 56 acres.  According to Disney legend, Typhoon Lagoon came to be when a freak storm barreled down on the area.  Left behind were palm trees and debris in disarray.  Typhoon Lagoon features fun for the whole family- from fast and steep waterslides to the wavy pool and raft rides for the kids.  The waves in the surf pool are one of the world's largest artificially created.  Every 90 seconds, waves crash to the shore of this surf pool, which is the size of a football field.  Kethakiddee Creek is a kid's water play area within the park featuring 10 different activity areas.

Aquatica - Aquatica, a Seaworld water park and located in Orlando, is unique- it's open year round! With a wide array of attractions, you can find slides and fun for all ages.  Some attractions even pass through animal habitats.

Wet 'n Wild - Considered the first major water park in the United States, Wet 'n Wild is a major attraction right off of International Drive in Orlando.  Located on 60 acres, Wet 'n Wild features a large variety of attractions, from a lazy river to high-speed and steep waterslides for adults.  Wet 'n Wild has more multi-person rides than you'd find at any other local water park and college appreciation days with tickets for just $32.99.  Buy a day's pass and get the rest of the year for free (college appreciation day tickets so not count toward this deal).  Now open at Wet 'n Wild is Blastaway Beach, a 60-foot tall sandcastle with over 15 slides, 2 splash pools, 160 soakers, water jets, cannons and water falls.
