Lauren Kelly has been serving the Ivanhoe Village community with a friendly smile from behind the bar of the White Wolf Cafe for the last 3 and a half years.  While most brides were blushing with excitement for their wedding day Lauren had to cope with the sudden loss of her father to Pancreatic Cancer just days before walking down the aisle.

Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer Charity Event At White Wolf Cafe

Born and raised in College Park, Steve Shilling was a pillar of the community and loved by many. A predominant patron of the local restaurants and bars he helped build over 100 homes in the college park area. Even after the cancer had taken over his body, Shilling always managed to have a smile on his face.  He had it the day he gave his daughters hand away in marriage just days before he passed.

Since his passing Lauren and her family have turned their loss into determination to find a cure for the silent killer that took her beloved father too soon.  On November 30th in recognition of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, White Wolf Cafe in Ivanhoe Village will host the Fight Against Pancreatic Cancer charity event in honor of Steve Shilling to promote awareness and raise funds to find a cure for Pancreatic Cancer.

Patrons are encouraged to wear purple and make a donation to #wagehope and help find a cure. 10% of all White Wolf Cafe sales during the event will be donated to the cause.  There will also be an opportunity to purchase chance drawing tickets for items provided by Orlando City Soccer, White Wolf Cafe, local organizations, and college park restaurants that Steve Shilling loved to frequent.

Come together on November 30th from 5pm-9pm at the White Wolf Cafe in Ivanhoe Village for a wonderful cause in memory of a wonderful man.  If you're unable to attend the event on November 30th you can donate directly to Lauren's page for PurpleStride Central Florida
