Event Details
Mission Statement: We wish to bring awareness and solutions to the issues veterans encounter. Our focus of mental health, education, empowerment and life enrichment is our goal.
Date: Saturday November 13th
Time: 10 am - 4 pm
The Centre SPB has collaborated with Steve Sanders of Flag Hero and Pablo Bicca of 1620 Marine and their team to organize this day of appreciation for all who serve and have served our country along with their families and supporters.
The purpose of this annual Veterans event is to conduct and demonstrate how to perform a proper flag retirement ceremony, provide education and awareness about PTSD and Veteran suicide. The flag retirement ceremony will be performed by our very own MacDill Air force Honor Guard and will be open to the public at no charge. There is a FREE outdoor component to the event and a ticketed indoor component. We will have guest speakers educating on topics to help our Veterans such as natural remedies to combat depression and the benefits of medical marijuana.
Why is it called Wellness Challenge 22? We are challenging our community to take 22 deep breaths a day as a mindful and meditation practice to improve mental health!
