First annual "Viva Arte” to benefit the Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando presented by the Kiwanis Club of Avalon Park.
Event Details
The highlight of “Viva Arte” will be a creative Chalk Walk Contest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. that will challenge local artist teams of all ages to stretch their imaginations in the categories of contemporary/pop, science, history or fairyland. Entries will be judged on creativity, use of color, degree of difficulty, theme or story content and use of space. Along with the Sidewalk Chalk Contest for school groups, the event will feature artist Janet Tombros who will create a 3-D sidewalk masterpiece during event hours. Visitors can also enjoy live entertainment, bounce houses, craft vendor displays, photo opportunities, prize drawings and more throughout the day.
From 4 – 7 p.m., wine aficionados can partake in a Wine Walk for $20 (all you can drink) featuring vintages from Chile, a wine pull for $5 a bottle and live entertainment. Proceeds from the Wine Walk will directly benefit Nemours Children’s Hospital.
