Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar Orlando known for its energetic and tropical ambiance adds weekend live Latin music to its dining experience on Fridays and Saturdays, beginning October 22. Popular Latin cover bands will perform sets from 6:30 p.m. to midnight on Fridays, and from 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
The Friday night performances will extend beyond dinner hour to anchor Cuba Libre’s weekly Tropical Fridays nightlife event, which targets a sophisticated over-21 crowd. Between the bands’ last two sets and finishing the night till 2 a.m. resident DJ Benny Velez will play tropical hits, salsa, merengue y más. On Friday, October 22, local Latin radio personality Luis Angel from Éxitos 96.5 will host the night.
Kicking off the series on Friday, October 22 and Saturday October 23, will be Stella Beat. Based in Orlando, Florida, Stella Beat will have Cuba Libre guests moving to the sounds of salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, bachata, and more. Stella Beat is an award winning, energetic Latin/top 40’s party band consisting of professional musicians with an extensive background in live performance. Band members include vocalist José Class, who competed on La Voz (The Voice) on Telemundo, Jonathan Santiago (Keys), Wida Guzman (Vocals), and Jonathan Jimenez (Drum). Stella Beat will return to Cuba Libre on October 29 and 30, November 5 and 6, and November 26 and 27th.
Special Halloween shows will be performed by Stella Beat on October 29 and 30. For children 12 and under, there will be a Halloween costume contest, treats, and giveaways during the family friendly first set starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and 6pm on Saturday. And for adults 21 and older, there will be a costume contest after midnight with cash and other prizes.
On Friday, November 12 and Saturday November 13, guests will be treated to the sounds of Cubason, Central Florida’s most authentic Cuban musical experience. Founded in 2013 by Havana-born musical director and trumpet player Ricardo Llaguno, Cubason brings all forms of Latin Musical flavors to life featuring trumpet, congas and other Latin percussion instruments, keyboards and vocals in their live performances.
