To celebrate the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria in 1810, festivities were held for five days in the fields in front of Munich's city gates. 207 years later, Oktoberfest has evolved into one of the biggest parties in the world. Brewed by Samual Adams, this Marzen-style lager is copper in color with a deep, smooth flavor and caramel notes. The other participating venues include Chillers | Cahoots | Latitudes, ACE Cafe Orlando, Stagger Inn | Downtown, Saddle Up All American Bar, Casey's On Central, Dapper Duck, Underground Public House, Crow & Company, Harry Buffalo | Downtown Orlando, Swiggs, The Other Bar, SideBar Orlando, The Lodge and Downtown PourHouse.
With so many spots collaborating in celebration there will be plenty of Oktoberfest events in Orlando to eat, see, drink, and do. This is only the first Downtown Orlando Oktoberfest, but the community plans to work to make this annual event as big of a block party as St. Patrick's Day in Downtown Orlando.
