Central Florida’s premier summer celebration to be enjoyed by the entire family! Visitors from around the Central Florida area will be in Sanford to Celebrate Independence Day to enjoy our spectacular fireworks display over beautiful Lake Monroe.
As the planning heats up for the upcoming July 4th Celebration, don’t miss your chance to celebrate July 4th with us at this spectualar event!
Sanford has enjoyed hosting this family friendly event and we expect this year to be bigger and better. Our goal is to continuously raise the bar for this event and to also continue to reach out to new visitors so that they can experience our wonderful City and all that we offer.
DIRECTIONS:
From I-4 (Orlando) Take Exit 101B (SR 46) turn right onto 46. Continue straight on SR 46 (turns into First Street) approximately 4 miles into Downtown Sanford/Ft.Mellon Park.
From I-4 (Daytona) Take Exit 101 (SR 46) turn left onto 46. Continue straight on 46 (turns into First Street) approximately 4 miles into Downtown Sanford/Ft.Mellon Park.
From 417 (Orlando) Take Exit 50 turn right onto 17-92. Continue on to 17-92 approximately 2.5 miles and turn right on 1st street into Downtown Sanford/Ft.Mellon Park.
Road Closures:
•Seminole Blvd: will be closed east of Palmetto to Mellonville Avenue as of 6AM on July 4th, 2017.
•First Street: Will be closed to vehicular traffic from Cypress Avenue to San Juan Avenue.
•Sanford Avenue from Commercial to Seminole Blvd.
•San Juan Avenue from 1st Street to Seminole Blvd.
•Mellonville Avenue from 1st Street to Seminole Blvd.
Parking: Parking is available for $5 at the following municipal lots/opening at 3 PM
•1st Street and Park Avenue
•1st Street and Sanford Avenue
•Hood Avenue and Palmetto Avenue
For your Safety:
No personal fireworks of any kind
No coolers are allowed in event area
All bags and containers are subject to search
No pets
Businesses on Marina Island will be open and will be accessible from Palmetto Avenue
