Whatever the case, RedCarpetMondays are bringing back one of Orlando’s premier networking events to The University Club of Orlando on Monday, March 23 from 6-9 p.m.
Located in the heart of upscale Winter Park, the University Club is flanked on all sides by beautiful Central Florida lakes and the eye candy of the downtown Winter Park commercial area. Whether it’s grabbing an early dinner before the event or going out for the after-dark activities when doors close, there’s never a shortage of things to do or places to be in Winter Park.
The University Club itself plays host to a plethora of business and professional events year-round. As such, professional attire is required for RedCarpetMondays; all sneakers, t-shirts, and jeans will be refused at the door when they open at 6 p.m. Entry is $20 online and $25 at the door, which includes two complimentary beverage tickets (featuring Tito’s Vodka and Yuengling Lager), Industry-Specific Color-Coded Name Tags (fancy, right?), free appetizers, and a Business Card Raffle at 8:30 p.m. That leaves the last half-hour of the event open to the winner to sweep every potential business partner in attendance off their feet.
If you’re not planning on winning the business card lottery though, mixing and mingling with other business professionals and entrepreneurs is probably a good backup. Luckily, The Club is perfectly suited for a networking event such as this, outfitted with a main ballroom with a small stage, library, reading room, gallery, as well as several offices and side rooms. With all these exclaves branching off from the Main Hall, many-a negotiations or “talks” could be had with relative privacy in a very plotting-while-slow-walking-through-a-garden sort of way.
Networking at events like this is critical in developing your personal brand if you want to get a step ahead of the pack. All it takes is one good connection to send you propelling up through the barriers to your success like a streamlined rocket booster breaking through the upper atmosphere.
